Create Performance Task
- Feb. 12, 19, 21, 26, 28, March 5
- Submission: March 7th
- Late submissions: 20% off each class period
- Total time provided during class: 14 hours, 30 minutes
- Total time required by the College Board: 9 hours

Procedures
- As you enter class, place your phone in the phone pocket according to your assigned seat number.
- The teacher will take note of any students who did not place their phone in the phone pockets.
- There will be no access to cell phones during class time as it is testing time.
- Sit in your assigned seat for attendance. After the teacher takes attendance, move to a seat near your partner. Sit in the same seats every class period as there will be a different seating chart for testing.
- Submit the Attendance Form at the end of each class period.
- Students are expected to be present and on task during the designated time.
- Create PT grade will fall under the Projects grading category.

Beginning | 1 | Frequently off-task, requiring constant redirection. Limited engagement with the task. Frequently communicates with others outside of the collaborative partner. Rarely uses resources effectively. Completes few components of the task according to the timeline with minimal detail. |
Develop the Create PT in APP LAB
- Rename the project
- Access the project under “My Projects”
How to create your own data set:
- Open a new Google sheet file
- Add the data (rows and columns)
- Download the file as a .csv file type
- Go to code.org
- In your project, go the the “Data” tab
- Under “Data Browser”, give your dataset a “Table Name” and click “Add”
- Proceed to add your .csv file by clicking “Import csv”
- It should automatically generate
How to add an imported image to a data set
- From the “Toolbox”, click on the gear, then “Manage Assets”
- Click “Upload File” and add the image
- After you add the image, double click on the image
- The image should appear in a new window; copy that url and add that url to the dataset
Submission

- Save your Program Code as a PDF file
- In code.org, view code as text (not block)
- Select all (click Command + A)
- Copy (Command + C)
- Open a Google doc
- Paste the program code (Command + V)
- Download as a PDF file
- When submitting final:
- Programming Language: JavaScript
- Development Environment: AppLab Code.org
- Save with the file name: CreatePT_ProgramCode
- Do not include your name
- Record your video
- Open QuickTime Player
- Click File, then New Screen Recording
- Set the parameters for recording (record the app screen only)
- Click Record
- When complete, click the Stop button (circle on the navigation bar at the top of your screen)
- The recording will automatically save on the desktop
- Save with the file name: CreatePT_Video
- Do not include your name
- Submit the Personalized Project Reference
- Determine the code segments that you will include
- First set: Procedure and calls to the procedure
- Second set: List/Dataset – where it is first used and where it is modified
- Take screenshots of the code segments
- Log in to AP Digital Portfolio
- Upload the screenshots to the appropriate spots
- Determine the code segments that you will include
- In AP Digital Portfolio, proceed to upload the Program Code and Video
- Mark all sections as Final
